Still Crying

Wow, I think I have had enough crying for a lifetime!!! Now on Plunket's advice, we have pushed back the nap time to 12/12:30 and she sleeps for 2 hours. Two hours on the dot. Not even 2 hours and 10 minutes! Surely for an 11 1/2 month old, 2 hours isn't enough to survive on during the day??? So come 4/4:30 she is tired again but will she sleep??? Um, no. Will she happily sit in her cot and play or entertain herself for an hour??? Again, um, no. And now since Plunket suggested dropping one feed and only giving her 3 bottles during the day, she has been waking at night. So I'm not going with Plunket's advice on that one and I'm going back to giving her 4 and see if that makes a difference. The last two nights she has been waking at 12/1AM and 5/6AM. Then I hop into bed last night at roughly 11:30 (exhausted!!) had to wait until then to take Kamryn pee, and Lauryn wakes an hour later. Hugh says 'can ya just go this time?' Um, no! I just got to bed and I'm exhausted and I feel sick and I'm cramping!!! You bloody do it! So peace has still not come to our house. And I'm telling ya, when she started crying last night you should have felt my heart, it was beating 100 mile an hour! This is how the anxiety is effecting me. Watch this space for heart attack news!

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you are still having to deal with this. I do know what its like, believe me!
I have to say Tyler is dropping his morning nap and having one sleep now. MUCH earlier than Ethan did. For me, 2 hours is a really good nap! He usually only has 45 min or an hour. I'm pretty sure 2 hours is enough for a one-year old, as long as they are sleeping 12 hours at night (which it sounds like Lauryn isn't).
I hope that you guys can settle into a good routine and that Lauryn will start getting more sleep. (((HUGS)))

I don't want Lauryn to drop to one nap and if she does I really prefer it to last about 3-4 hours LOL!!! Kamryn used to sleep that long when she went to one nap. It was great!!! I know they are different but I can at least hope for them to be alike in some ways, can't I??? She's been up the last two nights but I'm working on changing that today. The hard thing is interpreting her cries. I haven't had much experience with her since she generally didn't cry much so now I feel like I am lost and starting all over! I definitely don't feel like I am getting smarter with each child lol!!!

And thanks for the HUGS!

I know what you mean, Ethan has always been a great sleeper and he would have 3-4 hour sleeps.
I've just had to resign myself to the fact that Tyler is very different to his brother! Sadly what worked for Ethan doesn't seem to work for Tyler. So I feel like you do about feeling "new" at things. Its almost like being a first-time mum again when your second child does things differently!
