12 Days of Christmas

Janine started this scrapbook comp on December 1. I signed up for it hoping I could finish all the layouts by the end of the month. I'm at a point where I'm bored with my scrapbooking so thought doing this comp would be a good way to still scrapbook but getting some fun things done too. I'm taking the Christmas route on it. I don't have nearly enough Christmas pages so decided to devote an entire 8x8 album to this challenge. I've had fun with my pages. And now here they are:

Hopefully I'll keep on top of them. I have the pic for #3 printed so just need to sort out some papers. Thanks, Janine, for a wonderful competition! It's great fun ;)

I love these, Christi! That tree looks wonderful, I'm sure it will be even more wonderful when decorated in your living room :-)

I'm intrigued about pumpkin pie. I've never tasted it and I'm a bit scared to try it! Also, I wouldn't want to try just ANY pumpkin pie, but yours I could probably manage!! (hint, hint)

I have to say I am like Hannah, I have never tasted pumkin pie and the thought of eating with cream sounds odd. Think I might have to try some of your pumpkin pie too lol. Love reading your journalling on that and about your tree. I loved the little trees you had on that page.

I'm with you on that: a christmas tree has to be a real pine one, and none of that artificial-look-like-the-real-thing imposters. Even though the pine needles dry up and eventually fall on the carpet, who cares?

I'm loving your layouts - they are g o r g e o u s ...
Pumpkin pie ladies - well you need to acquire a taste for it - Christi do you get the pumpkin sent over in the big tins ... my cousin makes a pumpkin pie or two every Christmas ... family send the tins over to her ... enjoy! I must say, I turned my nose up at it the very first time I tasted it - now I don't mind it in small portions ...

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It's been fun doing these layouts.

Michelle - hahaha, I used to get mom to send out the pumpkin pack but we were arguing one year and I didn't feel like asking her and hearing about it lol. So I broke down and found a recipe. I actually cook up the pumpkin and puree it and then add the spices. I think it tastes better this way and at least you know you are getting fresh pumpkin. Who knows what they shove in those cans lol.
